Popular Nigerian street music, Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed aka Bella Shmurda, has revealed that ace rapper, Olamide paid for the recording and video shoot of his breakout single ‘Vision 2020’.
He also said that Zlatan Ibile, and celebrity dancer, Poco Lee played key roles in the early days of his career.
Bella revealed this in a recent interview with Pulse, as he revealed that the YBNL boss did more by promoting the song on his social media pages.
He explained that he was not signed to YBNL Nation, yet Olamide gave him the same treatment he would normally give a signee.
The ‘Cash App’ crooner recounted how Poco Lee linked him up with The Lagos Anthem crooner.
According to him, Poco who was living with Zlatan on Lagos Island begged the rapper to accommodate him which he obliged.
Shmurda said during his stint with Zlatan, the rapper encouraged him and also collaborated with him on several unreleased songs.
He said;
“Shouout to Baddo . He was so supportive. He had to pay ID Cabasa for the reproduction of ‘Vision 2020’. He sorted my video. And even posting it more . He did everything he could do for Fireboy without me signing a paper.
“Poco Lee used to stay with Zlatan. I was in Mainland, and he was like, ‘Bella, come now we go just dey manage for here small small.’ And Zlatan, he received me with opened hands. Anything he is in the studio recording, he always calls me. He always gives me motivations.”
