Davido Builds Osun-Osogbo; Sacred Grove In New York City

Nigerian singer, Davido wasn’t capping when he said he will bring Africa to America.

The FEM singer in his interview with Trevor Noah revealed he will be using only African brands for his Tour. According to him, it is his way of helping hardworking Africans- Nigerians raise and also promote their business to the Westerners.

Many thought he was capping, but after the prop, Davido and his team pulled up in NYC, many began to believe him. Davido and his team built a replica of the ‘Sacred Grove’ in Osogbo, Osun State. He shared a video of the prop as his team set up the musical instruments for the first WRBLO show.

The Osun-Osogbo Grove (which is located along the banks of Osun river) is several centuries old and is among the last of the sacred forests that once adjoined the edges of most Yoruba cities before extensive urbanization.
