“I Won’t Allow Anybody’s Perception Of Me Direct The Decisions I Make for Myself…” – Omawumi

Nigerian singer, Omawumi took a trip down memory lane.

The singer shared how kids in school and neighbourhood made fun of her looks while growing up.

Omawumi stated that they gave her a special nick name ”OGORstina, Hammer Headed and Ekpengbe Forehead”. The taunts obviously got to her because she couldn’t leave the house without being heavily made up.

Recounting the ugly experience, Omawumi disclosed that the taunts affected her self confidence and made her do all manners of things to hide her flaws, but she’s glad she is over that phase of her life.

According to her, she’s madly in love with her looks and flaws -forehead, cellulitis, stretch marks and she doesn’t mind flaunting them once in a while.

Oma wonder also added that it’s okay to change or hide a flaw, but one shouldn’t allow anybody’s perception direct their decisions.
