The Weekend Wins Big, Makes History As He Sweeps 5 Awards At The 50th Juno, 2021 | See Full Winner’s List

The Weeknd swept the 2021 Juno Awards, on Sunday night, making him the first artist to win ‘Best Artist, Album, Single, and Songwriter’ of the year, all in the same year, twice.

The Junos Awards was established in 1970-71 to honour the achievements of Canadian music. This year 2021 celebrate it’s 50th. In total, The Weeknd has received a total of 15 Junos out of 30 nominations all through his career.

For his album, ‘After Hours’, he was awarded Album Of The Year, while for “Blinding Lights“,  he won both Single Of The Year and Songwriter Of The Year. Additionally, he was named Artist of the Year.

Other winners at this year’s ceremony included Justin Bieber, who won Pop Album of the year for 2020’s ‘Changes’ and also opened the show with a pre-recorded performance of his track ‘Somebody’, taken from his 2021 album ‘Justice’.
